The candidates’ forum will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016. All five current CD-1 candidates have agreed to participate. The Lincoln Day Dinner is CCRC’s one big fundraiser of the year and all proceeds will go to support our Republican goals and Republican candidates in the upcoming election year.
The event will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 1175 W. Rt. 66, Flagtaff. The forum will be moderated by Flagstaff Mayor Jerry Nabours and Councilman Jeff Oravits. Questions will center on areas of concern to all CD-1 residents. The questions will be generated by the knowledgeable moderators and input from interested citizens. Each candidate will answer each question in turn, and will have an opportunity for an opening and closing statement. We expect the event will draw interest from all over CD-1.
Tables of eight are $360. In addition, we are conducting a raffle, with the two prizes being a 7-day Canyoneers Colorado River rafting trip worth almost $3,000.00 and a deluxe sewing machine valued at $699.00 (first ticket drawn gets first choice, second ticket drawn takes remaining prize). Tickets are $10.00 each, with a maximum of 250 tickets to be sold.
